When the door is shut and the mechanism inside has broken, how hard it is to open, and the time and skill it takes, differ from door to door. We assess it first, then give you an honest final price within this range to open and fix the door. If the door has dropped and needs realigning, that is £20 to £40 + VAT extra, or £50 to £120 + VAT for a heel and toe adjustment, depending on how far it has dropped, whether the glass needs repacking or the hinges replacing, and how heavy the door is.

- No separate call-out fee. No separate call-out fee applies when work goes ahead. You pay for the job, not the journey.
- If you decline the work. Cancellation is free before arrival. If you decline after arrival and assessment, minimum attendance is £59 + VAT.
- Evenings and nights. Evening prices start from £84 inc VAT after 6pm and £132 after 9pm. After 11pm, emergency work starts from £228 inc VAT for the first hour.
