Terms of Service
These terms apply to locksmith services provided by Kingdom Locksmith Ltd (company number 11009355) ("we", "us", "our") to you, the customer. By asking us to carry out work, you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
Kingdom Locksmith Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 11009355, with registered office at KINGDOM LOCKSMITH LTD, Office 1 Izabella House, 24-26 Regent Place, Birmingham, B1 3NJ. We are VAT registered (GB 473 7417 69). You can reach us on 0333 006 9691 or at helpdesk@kingdomlocksmith.co.uk.
Depending on the area and availability, work may be carried out by a Kingdom engineer or a local service partner coordinated by Kingdom. We will tell you who is attending before dispatch. Kingdom remains your booking and customer-care contact unless we clearly agree otherwise in writing.
2. Quotes and prices
- Prices shown on our website are honest ranges taken from real completed jobs, and include VAT. They are a guide, not a fixed quote.
- Before we start work, we give you an estimate or a quote based on the job in front of us. We will confirm the price with you before carrying out chargeable work.
- If the job turns out to be different from what was described (for example a different lock type, or extra damage found once we begin), we will tell you and agree any change in price with you before continuing.
- Prices include VAT unless we expressly state that VAT is added, as with the £59 minimum attendance charge.
- Emergency work after 11pm starts from £228 including VAT for the first hour. The final price can depend on the fault and any parts required, and is agreed before work starts.
- There is no separate call-out fee when work goes ahead. If you decide not to proceed after the engineer arrives and assesses the job, the minimum attendance charge is £59 plus VAT.
3. Payment
- Payment is due on completion of the work, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
4. Your right to cancel
- Cancellation is free before the engineer arrives. Contact us as soon as possible so we can stop the journey.
- If the engineer has arrived and assessed the job, but you choose not to proceed, the minimum attendance charge is £59 plus VAT. We explain this before dispatch.
- If you ask us to start emergency or urgent work straight away, you expressly request service during any applicable cancellation period. Once work starts, your cancellation rights may be affected, but your statutory rights remain.
5. Guarantees and warranties
- We aim to leave every job working properly, and we stand behind our work.
- Workmanship guarantee: We guarantee our workmanship for 6 months from completion of the work.
- Parts warranty: Parts supplied by us carry a 12-month warranty from installation.
- Both are subject to our written guarantee and warranty terms. Contact us promptly with the job details if you need to make a claim.
- These guarantees and warranties are in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which are not affected.
6. Your statutory rights
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, our service must be carried out with reasonable care and skill, within a reasonable time, and for a reasonable price where one was not agreed in advance. Any parts we supply must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Nothing in these terms removes or limits those rights.
7. Access, safety and property
- You confirm that you are the owner or occupier of the property, or are authorised to request the work. We may ask for proof of identity or ownership before opening a lock or changing a lock, for everyone's protection.
- We carry out work with reasonable care. Non-destructive entry is our first approach where the lock allows it, but some locks or situations require drilling or replacement to gain entry, which we will explain before proceeding.
- We are not responsible for pre-existing faults, wear or damage that we did not cause.
8. Liability
- We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
9. Complaints
- Send job complaints and customer-service concerns to helpdesk@kingdomlocksmith.co.uk.
- We aim to acknowledge complaints promptly and resolve them fairly.
10. Data protection
We handle your personal information in line with our privacy policy and our cookie policy.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your job is the one in force when you booked the work.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute is subject to the courts of England and Wales.
